On February 17th, 2024 - Chitkara Law School organized the National Symposium of Lawyers on Pathways to Advocacy with a view to enlightening young legal professionals about the intricacies of Legal Profession. An effort was made to provide deep insight into the practical difficulties faced by Legal Luminaries Par Excellence while progressing towards success. The Event aimed to provide mantras for being a successful Advocate and total 61 students and faculty members attended the Symposium, 7 external experts for invited talk.

The Dean, Chitkara Law School welcomed all the dignitaries which includes, Dr. G. V. Rao, Designated Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, Former AG, India, S. The event was initiated with the blessings of Goddess Saraswati in the form of Lamp Lighting Ceremony by Dignitaries and enhancing Saraswati Vandana by students of Chitkara Law School.

Department of Nursing at Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University, hosted the 78th TNAI Punjab State Conference on September 20, 2024, in collaboration with the Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Punjab branch. The theme for the conference was "Leadership in Nursing: Inspiring Vision Driving Changes."

The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony, welcoming distinguished guests including Dr. S.C. Sharma, Registrar; Ms. Annie Kumar, National Vice President of TNAI, North Zone, as the chief guest; and Ms. Vatchala, Assistant Secretary General of TNAI, North Zone, as a special guest.

Dr. Sovia RJ Singh, Dean of Chitkara University Language Centre, led the first session, focusing on strategies for nurse leaders to cultivate cohesive, collaborative, and high-performing teams in diverse healthcare environments. Following this, Dr. Harmeet Kaur Kang, Director and Principal, and President of TNAI Punjab state branch, welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Prabhjot Kaur Saini, Secretary of TNAI Punjab, presented the milestone and activities report of the TNAI Punjab state branch.

The conference featured two engaging panel discussions on "Future of Nursing: Visionary Leadership," alongside scientific sessions that highlighted key advancements in nursing. The International Conference on “Innovation and Advances in Drug Development and Clinical Research (IADDCR-2023)” was held on April 24–25, 2023, at Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Punjab. The conference brought together researchers, academics, industry experts, and students to discuss the latest developments in drug development and clinical research. The conference began with an opening ceremony, which was followed by a keynote address by Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab. Dr. Mantri addressed the guests and achievements of the students and faculties of Chitkara University related to the innovation and collaboration in drug development. Guest of Eminence for the conference Major General Dr. Dilawar Singh addressed the audience and focused on the use of AI in the field to pace-up the things to meet the ongoing demand of the pharmaceuticals. Later, Chief Guest of the Conference Dr. Montu Kumar Patel, Chairman, Pharmacy Council of India has addressed the ongoing key regulatory issues related to updation of curriculum and introduction of job portals for the pharmaceutical professionals. The keynote international speakers of the conference are Prof. (Dr.) Kylie Williams, Prof. (Dr.) Brian Oliver, Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Dua, and Prof. (Dr.) Pornsak Sriamornsak. The AMMT-2023 conference, held on November 3rd and 4th, 2023, was a significant event in the field of materials science and technology. The conference brought together over 100 participants from various backgrounds, including scientists, researchers, academicians, and industry experts. The event provided a platform for these individuals to share their knowledge, discuss current trends, and explore potential applications of materials science in engineering.

The conference featured a diverse range of activities, including keynote speeches, technical sessions, and poster presentations. Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University was the chief guest and Dr. Archna Mantri, Pro VC, Chitkara University was the Guest of Honor in the conference. Notable speakers included Mr. Vikram Nanda (Senior Scientist, Element Technology Inc., Abu Dhabi, UAE), Mr. Sagar Dodia (Element Technology Inc., Abu Dhabi, UAE), and Prof. Haliz Md. Ali (Associate Professor, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is a nonprofit research university in Dhahran, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia). These experts delivered insightful presentations on a variety of topics, such as metallurgical failure investigation, thermal management of electronics, and engineering materials.

Participants presented their research findings in two technical sessions under total ten tracks. The first session focused on topics related to engineering materials and metallurgy, fluid and thermal engineering, and manufacturing and industrial engineering. The second session covered multidisciplinary engineering. In addition to the technical sessions, participants also had the opportunity to showcase their work through poster presentations.

The conference concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where best paper awards were presented in the presence of the Prof. Vijay Kumar Jadon who was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. A vote of thanks to all the participants, keynote speakers, and session chairpersons was given by Dr. Rajesh Sharma (Dean, Mechanical Engineering Department) along with Dr. Rajneesh Kumar (Assistant Professor, Mechatronics Engineering Department).

Overall, the AMMT-2023 conference was a successful event that provided valuable insights into the current state of materials science and technology. Department of Nursing at Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University, organized its 2nd Annual International Conference on REVAMPING NURSING SCIENCE, PRACTICE, AND RESEARCH, themed “Fostering Inter-Professional Collaboration in Evidence-Based Healthcare: From Education to Practice,” on December 7-8, 2023. The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a formal welcome of guests and delegates by the Dr. Harmeet Kaur Kang Principal, Department of Nursing, Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University. Dr. Kanika, Vice Principal, Department of Nursing, Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University then provided an overview of the conference, elaborating on its theme and setting the stage for the discussions to come.

Day 1 of the conference began with a keynote address by the Guest of Honor, Dr. Sukhpal, Principal of NINE, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The first plenary session focused on the Changing Landscape of Healthcare Education, discussing novel tools for learning, educational technologies, simulation, and evaluation of educational interventions. The second plenary session covered topics like Health Informatics, Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, as well as the challenges of utilizing these technologies. Two scientific sessions ran concurrently, featuring nearly 20 participants who presented their research articles. The third plenary session provided an in-depth discussion on Ethical and Legal Aspects in Healthcare, including risk management and nosocomial infection prevention.

On Day 2, the fourth plenary session centred on an Integrated Approach for Mental Health, addressing various strategies for integrating physical and mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation. This was followed by a panel discussion on the Power of Entrepreneurship in Healthcare, where panellists shared insights on becoming an entrepreneur, the importance of incubation centres, and the role of women entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry.

The conference concluded with a valedictory session that featured a cultural program for guests and delegates. Two best paper presenters from the scientific sessions were recognized with certificates and mementoes, and participation certificates were distributed to all delegates. The event wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving participants with a valuable learning experience.

On November 18 and 19, 2022, Chitkara University organized the third edition of its flagship engineering conference - International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (ICAN 2022) with technical sponsorship from IEEE. The prime objective of organizing this conference was to provide a platform for young researchers to share their research work with the community and obtain feedback from the leading experts of the world in the domains of computing, analytics and networks. The conference witnessed 58 paper presentations by these young researchers that were evaluated by the leading experts including academicians and industry professionals. These 58 papers were shortlisted after a rigorous peer review process from a total of 252 submissions that were received from more than 16 different states of the country and 5 foreign countries. More than 250 reviewers were involved in the review process. The conference was attended by a total of 200 delegates from all over the world and it was held at Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab on November 18 and in virtual mode on November 19.

Finally, there were 40 paper presentations conducted in 6 tracks and each of these tracks was chaired by an expert from academia. These experts were Dr. Deepak Punetha (VIT, Vellore, TN), Dr. T Ananth Kumar (IFET College of Engineering, Villupuram, TN), Dr. Piyush Kumar Shukla (Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, M.P.), Dr. Rajandeep Singh (GNDU, Amritsar), Dr. Surbhi Bhatia (King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia), and Dr. Shalini Stalin (IIIT Bhopal, M.P.). Additionally, each track also had an expert from Chitkara University as session chair as well and these were the faculty members and researchers from Chitkara University, including Dr. S.N. Panda, Dr. Jagdish Lal Raheja, Dr. Shalli Rani, Dr. Abhishek K Pandey and Dr. Shivendu Prashar.

All the presented papers in the conference will be sent for IEEE consideration for publishing them in IEEE Xplore. The conference was convened by Mr. Sagar Juneja – Assistant Dean, CURIN, Chitkara University.

World Engineering Conference on Contemporary Technologies (WECON) 2022 Chitkara University, India has been conducting WECONTM since 2008 and the latest edition of the conference was held on May 20-21, 2022. WECON 2022 was the 7th edition and it was organized with a theme 'Advances in Materials and Devices'. The conference was done in collaboration with Elsevier and the conference proceedings will be published by Elsevier in Materials Today.

On May 20, 2022, the inaugural ceremony of the 7th Edition of the World Engineering Conference on Contemporary Technologies (WECON) 2022, the flagship engineering conference of Chitkara University, commenced with an inspiring video message from Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, and a welcome address by Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab.

This was followed by insightful keynotes by Dr. Pradeep K. Rohatgi – Director, Centers for Composites and Advanced Materials Manufacture, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA, and Dr. Ashwini K Aggarwal, Director, Government Affairs, Applied Materials. Additionally, Day-1 of the conference witnessed paper presentations in two parallel tracks and four invited talk.

More than 200 delegates attended WECON 2022 that witnessed 50 paper presentations in five tracks, 4 keynote talks and 9 invited talks.

WECON brings together academicians and professionals from universities, research institutes and industries from India and abroad to share knowledge on the advancement of wireless communication, wireless networking technology, embedded systems and their applications in the field of engineering/research. Over the years, WECON has earned a reputation for being one of the best engineering conferences conducted in the North India region.

Five-day International Conference on ‘Advancements In Drug Regulatory Affairs: Pharmaceutical Industry-Academia Perspective (ADRA-2022)’ was organized by Chitkara College of Pharmacy on 26th–30th September 2022 in collaboration with ISPOR, Biogenetic healthcare. The Conference included deliberations by two international speakers, eminent stalwarts from industry and academia. The conference included around 200 student participants with B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy background and 70 faculty members. The focus of the event remained to make the audiences aware of the guidance related to drug regulations and their approval processes followed across the globe.

Dr. Montu Kumar Patel, President, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi was the Chief Guest along with other renowned dignitaries. The symposium was related to the policies to be implemented in pharmacy profession in near future. Dr. Montu Kumar Patel, President, Pharmacy Council of India also engaged and educated the participants about the NEP in relation to Pharmacy and its importance in pharmaceutical profession. They educated the students about the various future prospects and changes in the syllabus etc.

More than 100 research papers were presented in 04 tracks primarily focusing on Emerging Technologies in Engineering Materials and Manufacturing Technology, and interdisciplinary domains. A number of participants from around the globe, comprising of academicians, researchers, industry personnel and students, participated in the conference and presented their state-of-the-art research in AMMT-2022. Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab and Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh was invited as the Chief Guest and ma’am addressed the audience by her words of knowledge and wisdom in the inaugural session and gave a green signal to start the conference. Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab was the Guest of Honor for this international conference and ma’am provided an insight to the technological developments in the domains highlighted for AMMT-2022 and promoted the budding researchers to publish quality research papers. Keynote addresses in the areas of composite materials, mobile CNCs and industrial design for space technologies were delivered, in three sessions spread over both the days, by national and international speakers. Dr. Gurjot Singh Dhaliwal, Director of Intertribal Research and Resource Center at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, USA, Dr. Mandeep Dhanda, Assistant Professor, Department of Production and Industrial Engineering, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh and Dr. Kaja Antlej, Senior Lecturer, Industrial Design, School of Engineering, Deakin University, Australia, were the keynote speakers. Multiple sessions were held for different tracks throughout both the days, and quality researches by different authors was presented. The best paper in each track was awarded in the valedictory session of the conference. AMMT-2022 turned out to be a huge success and the Organizing Secretary in his valedictory note expressed his desire and need for such conferences in future as an active platform for presentation and exchange of ideas and thoughts amongst scientific community.

The event aimed to equip participants with essential skills in search strategy development, literature review writing, and utilizing Mendeley for literature organization and synthesis. The symposium was conducted in a hybrid format, accommodating both in-person and online participants, ensuring a wide reach and interactive experience. The sessions were led by Dr. Harmeet Kaur, Principal, Department of Nursing and Dr. Kanika, Vice Principal, Department of Nursing, Chitkara School of Health Sciences.

The symposium covered both theoretical and practical aspects of literature review:

  • Search Strategy: Participants learned to effectively use PubMed as a tool for conducting literature searches.
  • Literature Review Writing: Insights were provided on structuring and composing comprehensive literature reviews.
  • Mendeley Usage: Hands-on sessions guided participants in using Mendeley to organize and synthesize literature efficiently.

1st Annual Conference on “REVAMPING NURSING SCIENCE, PRACTICE AND RESEARCH” based on theme “A Practical Approach to Address Issues and Challenges” from 21st December- 22nd December, 2022. The conference aimed to address issues and challenges in the field of Nursing Science, Practice and Research.

On the first day of the conference, dignitaries gathered to light the ceremonial lamp, marking the beginning of the event. Dr. Kanika provided an insightful overview and introduced the conference theme. The Guest of Honor, Dr. Puneet Girdhar, Registrar of the Punjab Nursing Registration Council in Mohali, Punjab, shared inspiring words. The session concluded with the release of the conference souvenir by all the dignitaries, symbolizing their support and commitment to the event's goals.

Day 1: 3 Plenary sessions at the conference focused on key areas including Palliative Care Delivery, Nurse-Led Clinics, and Recent Trends and Issues in Nursing Care and Practice. In addition, three scientific sessions were conducted, covering a range of topics such as the model and functioning of Nurse-Led Clinics (NLCs), their application in clinical and community settings, as well as the benefits and challenges of running these clinics. Other topics included Adult Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery and Gynaecological Nursing, Information Technology, Tele-Nursing, and Community-Based Interventions, including Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), along with strategies for managing associated challenges.

Day 2: On the second day of the conference, Plenary Session IV and Plenary Session V explored the Impact of Emerging Technologies in Health Care and Filling Patents and Copyrights. Scientific Session IV focused on Long-Term Illness Management and Specific Interventions in Palliative Care. Additionally, a panel discussion featured esteemed panelists discussing Publication Ethics and Quality Writing, providing valuable insights and guidance to early-career researchers about the publication process for their research.

Second Edition of IEEE sponsored International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (ICAN2020) organized by Chitkara University, Punjab, India and National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan jointly in February 2020. The four-day conference was held for two-days in Taiwan, on February 7-8, 2020 and for two-days in India, on February 14-15, 2020. We envisioned the concept of twin-nation conference so as to provide a platform where a large number of like-minded professionals and researchers could engage and share their work, ideas and culture. Collectively, ICAN2020 received 159 paper submissions from all over the world, of which 61 submissions were accepted. This proceeding is featuring 61 papers that were presented during the conference. In addition to paper presentations, ICAN2020 also featured four keynote talks, four invited talks, two industry sessions, a panel discussion session and two tutorials. International Conference cum Training Workshop on ‘Filling The Gaps: World Heritage And The 20th Century’ An International Conference and Training Programme was organized at Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture (CSPA) along with National Institute Of Advanced Studies In Architecture- Pune (NIASA), from 03-07 October 2013. The objective of this 5-day programme is, thus, to promote an understanding of the significance of twentieth century heritage, not only of its physical and visual attributes, but also its historical, cultural and social dimensions. The Programme was designed into two parts: International Conference and hands-on Training Workshop.The first half comprising of a series of well-illustrated lectures on four themes representing key issues of conserving 20th Century Heritage -- Evaluation, Intervention, Management of Change, and, a special focus on twentieth-century Historic Urban Landscapes. Each of these thematic sessions were be structured around an overview on the theme by an invited specialist, presentation of selected papers, as well as discussions for a rich exchange of experiences and approaches. In addition, poster displays on conference themes enabled sharing of lessons learnt in diverse territories of the twentieth-century heritage.

The programme also aimed to examine the scope and the challenges of managing this recent heritage within the framework of the World Heritage regime. The fact that the event was a roaring success can be gauged from the fact that it had the largest ever gathering of foreign and Indian participants and experts drawn from 22 countries across the world. The program will favor interaction amongst participants, who belong to different areas both professionally-academics, research, industry and geographically.A number of expert talks were organized in the conference by the dignitaries in the field of Computing and Artificial Intelligence; some of them were through skype. Workshop on Data Mining was oeganized under ACAI 2011. Dr. Anil Verma And Dr. Maninder Singh from Thapar University, Patiala delivered expert lectures on the theme. Delegates were introduced to the tool WEKA and Microsoft Office 2010 which includes the features of Data Mining in MS-excel itself. A demonstration of the tool was also given to the delegates. At last the security issues related to Data Mining were also discussed.

`Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems (WECON-2011)’ A 3rd International Conference `Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems (WECON-2011)’ was organized on July 18-19, 2011, in association with George Brown College Canada and sponsored by several electronic industrial houses. The conference was convened by Prof. Rajvir Singh of Electronics and Communication Engineering Deptt. of Chitkara University Punjab. Over 230 papers covering the theme of the conference were received. After a thorough review process, 55 papers were selected to be published in the proceedings and to be presented during the conference. The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Rabi Mahapatra, Director, Embedded System Codesign Group, Deptt. of Computer Science & Engineering, Texas A&M University, USA. Prof. Jorge Olenewa of George Brown College Canada delivered the keynote address titled “Its a Wireless World”. Another eminent guest, Prof. P.R. Kumar (Franklin Woeltge Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Research Professor, Coordinated Science Lab, Univ. of Illinois, USA) delibrated on the topic of “Cyber Physical Systems” in his expert talk . The expert talks were followed by paper presentations spread over five different venues that were chaired by the invited guests along with Dr. C Ramakrishna (NITTTR, Chd.) and Dr. Amod Kumar (Scientist-G, CSIO, Chd.).

Second day of the conference started with a two-day (19th to 20th July, 2011) symposium on “RF Data Communications and Wi-Fi” conducted by Prof. Jorge Olenewa. `Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems (NCADSP-2010)’ A national Conference `Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems (NCADSP-2010)’ was organized on October 22-23, 2010. The conference was convened by Prof. Shivani Malhotra Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of Chitkara University Punjab. In all 53 papers were selected after review for publications in the proceedings of the Conference in. The conference was inaugurated by an eminent technologist Dr. Raghbir Singh Khandpur Director General, Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. Dr. T.S Lamba Dean (A&R), Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat gave a keynote address on emerging technologies in signal processing. There were three invited talks delivered by technology experts from JP University, CSIO and NITTTR. Hands-on workshops on `Lab VIEW’ by Karun Jain from National Instruments India was conducted as part of the conference. In addition, electronic products were exhibited by industries, and a competition `Teckniki’ on digital poster presentations related to the themes of the conference was also held for engineering students. About 50 delegates attended the conference spread over two days. Forty one papers were presented in four technical sessions. A cultural programme `SAANJH’ was organized on the evening of October 22, 2010 in the campus for the participants.
